1. Where there is a clear, wide direct line of sight between your handset and the sky. The quality of service may be affected by things such as the atmosphere, environment and surrounds, including where there is a narrow view of the sky due to things such as thick canopy cover, being in a narrow gorge or between dense
tall buildings.
2. Amount of the subsidy depends on the monthly access plan selected. The subsidy is up to 80% of the retail price, with a maximum of $1,500 (including GST).
3. If your Telstra Mobile Satellite service is cancelled early, you have to pay any remaining amounts owed under your MRO arrangement, in addition to any outstanding amounts owed, and any early termination charge payable under your Telstra Mobile Satellite service plan.
4. The $1995 handset package is available to customers who enter a Telstra Mobile Satellite service plan for a contract term of 24 months.
5. From January 2005, the Iridium 9505A handset replaces the Iridium 9505. Please note that the accessories
for the 9505A will not be interchangeable with the 9505 handset and vice versa.
6. Unused calls in a month forfeited.

For the purposes of Telstra Mobile Satellite pricing, “Australia” means anywhere on the Australian land mass and its external territories (such as Lord Howe, Norfolk, Heard, Christmas, Cocos and Macquarie Islands, but excludes the Australian Antarctic Territory) and extends to include a boundary of up to 200 nautical miles around the Australian land mass and external territories.
9. All calls (including call diversions and retrievals) except those to directory assistance services are charged in 30 second blocks.
10. Customers must use a Telstra Mobile Satellite SIM card to be billed at these rates. If a Telstra Mobile Satellite SIM card is used in a GSM handset, customers will be charged at the applicable Telstra Mobile Satellite calling rates in Australia and standard GSM International Roaming rates if used outside Australia. If an “04” GSM SIM card with International Roaming capabilities is used in a Telstra Mobile Satellite handset to make or receive calls using Telstra Mobile Satellite, higher call charges to those in this table will apply and customers will also be charged for receiving calls using Telstra Mobile Satellite.
11. Call connection charges apply to all outgoing calls (including call diversions and retrievals) made within and from Australia, except calls made to directory assistance services.
12. If you divert incoming calls to your Telstra Mobile Satellite service to another number, you will be charged for the call diversion at the same rate (including the connection charge) that applies to calls made from your Telstra Mobile Satellite service to that other number under your Telstra Mobile Satellite service pricing plan.
13. There is no cost to receive voice calls in or outside Australia.
14. To be eligible for the Group Plan a minimum of 2 active services, each on a TMS 30, TMS 50, TMS 80 or TMS 125 plan must be connected on the one Group Plan account. If the total combined monthly access fees of the services on the Group Plan is less than $150, then you will be charged $150 as the monthly access fee for the Group Plan.
15. There is no voice call capability with the TMS Data Only plan, data calls only can be made.
